Vivian Dean Heaney of Morganville, New Jersey passed away on April 8, 2026 at the age of 99. She was born at home at 88 Bethany Road in Hazlet, New Jersey.

Vivian Received her B.S. in Medical Technology in 1949 from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She was certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) as a Medical Technologist and also as a Specialist in Blood Bank (SBB). She retired in 1991 after working as a Section Chief of the blood bank and transfusion service at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, New Jersey.

She was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Frank J. Heaney, Sr., her parents Anna and Fred Dean, Sr., and her siblings Fred Dean, Jr., Ralph Dean and Ann Dean Mills. Surviving are her three nephews: Craig Mills of Port Monmouth, New Jersey, Geoffrey Dean of Columbus, Ohio and Roger Mills of Statesboro, Georgia.

Vivian and Frank enjoyed many visits to World of Life and did a lot of traveling and camping together. She was skilled at needlework and shared this with many friends and family.

She loved the Lord and was a member of Sayre Woods Bible Church since 1987, where she felt blessed with many friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15 from 10am – 11am at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A funeral home service will be offered at 11am. Burial will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, 454 Tennent Road, Tennent, NJ 07763.
