Steve H. Straus, 71, of Red Bank, NJ, formerly of Little Silver passed away Thursday, March 11th.

Steve was born in Long Branch, NJ and lived most of his life in Little Silver and Red Bank. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he loved traveling the world with Harriet and spending time with family and friends. A graduate of Red Bank High School, The George Washington University, and Penn State University, he worked for the Fairfax County (VA) Office of Management and Budget, was the assistant general manager of Prown's in Red Bank, and worked in corporate sales for HP. He was a proud life member, trustee, and EMT with the Little Silver EMS. He was a lifelong member of Congregation B'nai Israel in Rumson, NJ serving in many leadership positions over the years.

Steve was predeceased by his parents, Marilyn and Edward Straus. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Harriet Straus; his sister and brother-in-law  Robin Straus and Martin Reiman; his children Jacob and Sarah Straus of Gaithersburg, MD, and David and Elana Straus of White Plains, NY; his grandchildren, Lily, Ben, and Ethan Straus.
