Marilyn Horath, 75, of Toms River, passed away Tuesday at Community Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born and raised in Jersey City, after graduating from her local high school she began her career as a secretary. She would eventually move to Hazlet and start working as a secretary for Bayshore Community Hospital where she would stay for 27 years and then retire to Toms River. Marilyn loved bingo, bowling, cooking for her family and traveling whenever she could.

Marilyn was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Marilyn is predeceased by her son Michael Horath; and her siblings Virginia Bocis, Dorothy Pedrero, Geraldine Breitweiser, Michael Kelly, Patricia Stirone, Thomas Kelly and William Kelly.

Marilyn is survived by her siblings Robert Kelly and his wife Judy of Tennessee, Jack Kelly and his wife Carol of Boca Raton, Helen Roberts and her husband Vern of Florida and Kathleen Ardizzone and her husband Albert of Toms River; she was loved by her niece Jessica and many other loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, November 21 ^st , from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel. A service will be offered the following day, Tuesday, November 22 ^nd ,  at the funeral home at 10:00 AM. An entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
