He was born and raised in Brooklyn, George graduated James Madison High School, he went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Baruch College, Manhattan and his Law degree from St. John's University. While he was studying law, George started working as a mailroom clerk at American Savings and Loan, Manhattan. Upon graduating law school, he had worked his way up to being the President running the Mortgage Department. He retired from American Savings as the President and CEO.

He went on to start a second career at 60 years old by acquiring I&R Disposal, Hoboken, eventually selling the company and retiring.

George and his wife Aida, looking to move out of Brooklyn, decided to spend a day off at Monmouth Park, they realized Monmouth County was a beautiful area and found a home in Colts Neck, where they moved to shortly after.

An avid golfer, he loved playing at Hominy Hills and Charleston Springs, when he wasn't playing in the senior group, he would go out as a single and was happy to meet so many wonderful new friends. He enjoyed his daily walk around the neighborhoods of Colts Neck, his poker club, as well traveling with his family, to Italy, the Islands, Las Vegas and many trips to the Super Bowl. His favorite Super Bowl trip was when his favorite NY Giants beat the Buffalo Bills. He loved to play bocce in his yard and would complain of grass length and divots. He was an ardent fan of the NY Giants and all NY sports teams.

George enjoyed spending time with his family at the 2 nd Ave. beach in Bradley Beach, where the snack shack is. He always knew at noon, he and the boys were getting hamburgers and French fries. He was a fan of the Eagles and his favorite songs being Tequila Sunrise and The Last Resort.

He loved to host all holidays at his family home in Colts Neck including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Easter.
