Florence Georgacopoulos, 85, of Long Branch passed away, Thursday February 26th at her home. Mrs. Georgacopoulos was born in Maryland and lived most of her life in Long Branch. She was the owner and operator of George's Sandwich Shop, Asbury Park for many years. Mrs. Georgacopoulos was pre-deceased by her son's, Constantine Georgacopoulos, in 1993;and George Hammer, in 2008. Surviving is her daughter, Panagiota (P.G.) Georgacopoulos, Long Branch; a daughter-in-law, Jean Hammer, Baltimore, MD; her grandchildren, Robert and McKeena Woods, Terri, Lisa and Bobby; and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, 6 to 9 PM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street at Broadway, Long Branch. The funeral service will be 8:30 PM, Sunday.
