Edward E. Haase, Jr., of Long Branch, passed away Sunday at the St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mr. Haase was born in Norwalk, CT., and resided in Fairfield , CT., before moving to Long Branch in 2006. He will always be remembered as an avid sports enthusiast. Mr. Haase loved the ocean and spending time along the shores of Connecticut and Long Branch. Surviving is his wife, Laverne; one son, Todd Haase, Trumbull, CT.; three daughters, Tracey Schuelzky, Long Branch, Allyson Haase, Wheaton, Il., and Candace DesRoches, Trumbull, CT; a grandson Gunnar Schuelzky; two granddaughters, Autumn and Lila DesRoches. There will be a memorial service in Connecticut at a later date.
