Catherine A. Kelly, affectionately known as Kay, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024, in Staten Island.
Born in Brooklyn to first-generation Irish immigrants, Kay spent her early years in Bay Ridge and later resided in Marine Park for much of her adult life.
Kay lived a vibrant and active youth, finding joy in dancing, singing, and skiing. She was a proud graduate of Bay Ridge High School and later pursued a career as an administrative assistant in New York City, where she worked for many years.
Above all, Kay cherished her family. The greatest joy in her life came from spending time with her sister, close-knit cousins, nieces, and dear friends.
She is predeceased by her beloved parents, Edward and Bridget Kelly and her sister, Margaret Mary Kelly. Kay is survived by her sister [Nora Marie Naughton], her three loving nieces [Nora Paul, Eileen Gavin and Carol Rustici], and numerous great and grand nieces and nephews, all of whom will deeply miss her presence in their lives.
Kay's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
