Betty was born on December 3, 1928, in Long Branch, where she was a lifelong resident, before moving to Oceanport many years ago. She was predeceased by her loving husband Sam in 1998. She is also predeceased by her sister Cynthia (Bohnert) Townsend and her brother Richard Bohnert. Betty and Sam shared a full and wonderful life together, always surrounded by a large and loving family on both sides. They enjoyed family gatherings, summers at Takanassee Beach Club, and playing cards

with their longtime friends. Sam and Betty also spent time traveling throughout the country and later to Boynton Beach, Florida, where they spent many winters during their retirement years. Betty was an avid sports fan, rooting for the Mets, Nets, and Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in the 1990's. Most importantly, she cherished time with her family, reminiscing about her childhood and that of her children, all the wonderful memories of old Long Branch and what once was. She will be forever missed by her family, all of whom are grateful for the long and beautiful life she lived.
